THE CONSTITUTION PROJECT SEEKS POLICY COUNSEL FOR ITS RULE OF LAW PROGRAM
The Constitution Project, a nonprofit public policy organization based in Washington, DC, seeks a Policy Counsel to work on a variety of issues relating to the rule of law.
About Us
The Constitution Project promotes and defends constitutional safeguards. Through its Rule of Law and Criminal Justice Programs, the Project promotes dialogue across ideological and partisan lines, bringing together prominent Americans from a variety of experiences to achieve long-term consensus. Working with these influential and unlikely allies, the Project conducts strategic public education campaigns and helps create the political majorities needed to transform this consensus into sound public policy.
The Rule of Law Program addresses threats to the rule of law and to our constitutional liberties, including post-9/11 threats such as warrantless domestic surveillance; the denial of habeas corpus rights to so-called enemy combatants; abuse and overuse of watch lists; and increasing governmental secrecy, the state secrets doctrine, and presidential signing statements.
About the Job
