Christopher Durocher is Government Affairs Counsel for the Criminal Justice Program at the Constitution Project. His work focuses on reforming federal death penalty policy and habeas corpus law and securing federal funding for indigent defense in capital cases. Before joining the Constitution Project, Christopher worked as a litigation associate for Mayer Brown LLP. Previously, Christopher served as senior associate at the Alexandria, VA-based law firm of Obadal, Filler, MacLeod & Klein, PLC, where he represented its clients before the U.S. Congress and various federal agencies, developed communication approaches, and oversaw fundraising and contribution strategies for political action committees. In his pro bono work he has drafted legislation and legislative reports for members of the Massachusetts House of Representatives and non-profit organizations.  Christopher is a graduate of Holy Cross College and Boston University School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Legislative Drafting Clinic and executive editor of the Public Interest Law Journal.
