One hundred sixty four detainees remain at the Guantánamo detention facility. It is an aging population whose medical
issues are increasing in scope and complexity. The purpose of this conference is to identify, analyze and propose
solutions to structural and other obstacles that impede physicians’ ability to deliver to Guantanamo detainees quality
ethical medical care that meets professional standards.
A conference co-sponsored by The Constitution Project and Global Lawyers and Physicians at Boston University School of Public Health.
Participants will include physicians, medical ethicists and others.
