We are committed to holding government officials accountable to the Constitution and the rule of law. Our work in this area has focused on improving congressional oversight of the executive branch and calling for inquiries into alleged legal and constitutional violations. Most notably, the Constitution Project has joined the call for the creation of a comprehensive investigation into the policies and actions related to the detention, treatment, and transfer of detainees after September 11.
